QEII launched this week their exciting NEW 3D Hydroslides - the world’s FIRST indoor waterslides with inbuilt visual, sound &sensory effects for an unbelievable new dimension in FUN! An illustration to capture the 3 dimensional sense was sought, the character would essentially appeal to primarily young boys and evoke a sense of thrill and pure, shock horror. A character was developed in 3 weeks, the spiky hair amusingly inspired by rugby icon Luke McAlister, and we based the composition on QEII's current hydroslide brand image. The project was launched to the public this week with a full-impact half broadsheet advertisement where the character 'jumps' out from the page with surrounding editorial wrapped around.
